Rēkohu has a reputation for delicious local kai. At Kōpi Kitchen our menu evolves seasonally to utilise the best of what nature has to offer, showcasing the flavours and colours of the environment surrounding us on Rēkohu.
Foraging & sourcing local ingredients, whether from the land or ocean, is an integral and important part of our restaurant culture. We believe in everyday betterment especially when it comes to sustainability and supporting our local suppliers and producing healthy but delicious food.
If you're a true 'foodie' at heart, we recommend planning your visit to the island around our two annual food festivals.
- Chatham Island Festival - March
- Local Wild Food Challenge - December
If you would prefer to self-cater, we offer a shared kitchen within the Marakapia Lookout complex. Perfect if you are travelling together as a group or to 'cook your own catch' after a days charter fishing.
Please ensure you bring all food supplies and special dietary requirements with you to the island. Please note we do not store excess fish - we encourage to only take enough for a meal.
